Rules:
- The Draft Clock
The draft will officially run from 9am ET to 10pm ET every day until its conclusion (including weekends). However, if an owner is on the clock, they can make their selection at any time. Each owner begins the draft with a 3-hour draft window in rounds 1-2. If you are on the clock in rounds 1-2, you have 3 hours from the time the last pick was made to make your selection. In rounds 3-5, this window decreases with one hour to a 2-hour draft window. In rounds 6-7, this window decreases with one additional hour to a 1-hour draft window.
Example: The Eagles are on the clock and select at 9:10am ET. Assume the Patriots have the next selection. New England's draft window would begin immediately after the Eagles selection, meaning their pick is due before 12:10am ET (assuming they are eligible for the full 3-hour window).
The draft clock can be viewed by logging into the draft utility. A list of the length for each owner's draft window can be found on the Draft Information page (see link above).
The last owner on the clock each night at 10pm ET has a 12-hour window to make their selection (10-hours if they're only eligible for a 1-hour draft window). This includes the normal 3 hours, plus the 9 hour period when the draft is not officially running. This owner's name will be posted on the Draft Information page at 10pm ET each night (see link above).
Example: The Redskins are on the clock beginning at 9:30pm ET. They have not missed a pick and are thus eligible for the full 3-hour window. Since the official draft clock officially ends at 10pm ET, the Redskins would still have 2.5 hours of official time remaining. However, they also get an additional 9 hours of unofficial time, meaning the Redskins would not have to draft until 9:30am ET. The Redskins are not required to wait, however, and can make their selection at any time.
Any owner put on the clock during the period the draft is not officially running, will have their full draft window beginning at 7am ET. These owners can ignore the draft clock in this instance. If they have a 3-hour window, their time will be up at 10am ET. If they have a 1-hour window, their time will be up at 8am ET.
Example: Following the last example, let's assume the Redskins made their selection at 11pm ET and the Saints were next on the clock. Let's also assume the Saints have missed one selection and are thus only eligible for a 1-hour draft window, instead of the normal 3-hour window. Since the Saints were put on the clock during the unofficial period, their time would not begin until 7am ET, meaning their pick would not be due until 8am ET.
Note: The draft clock runs 24 hours, even though the draft itself is only officially open from 7am ET to 10pm ET. This may be fixed in a future version of the draft application. In the meantime, as mentioned above, owners put on the clock during the period the draft is not officially running can ignore the draft clock and assume their time begins at 7am ET. This does not apply to the last player on the clock when 10pm ET hits. They can assume they have 9 hours plus their current draft window.
- Missing Your Selection
If your draft window passes without you manually selecting a player, and you do not have your preference list's auto pick feature on (see walk-thru below), the best player available will be chosen by the utility.
Finally, if you miss a selection, your draft window will be shortened to 1 hour for the remainder of the draft. If you later miss an additional selection, you will have no draft window and will be required to utilize your preference list for the remainder of the draft.
It is an owner's responsibility to check-in periodically each day to determine if they are currently on the clock. There is no limit on the number of picks each day, so it is possible you could be on the clock more than once each day, if the draft goes quickly. If you believe you will not be able to make your selection(s) during a specific date, or you're at risk for being flagged as inactive, make sure to keep the utility turned "on" and fill it. You can always turn it "off" again when you return.
- Failure to Trade Picks
If you have an approved trade that requires you to transfer draft picks to another team, you MUST execute this via the utility. If you fail to do so by the time that pick is on the clock, the other team will have the option of a) voiding the trade (with cap ramifications) or b) Taking a higher pick from your next year's draft. For example, if you traded a 2nd round pick, but failed to transfer it via the utility, the other team can choose to take your next year's 1st round pick instead.
It is recommended that you take a screenshot of your draft window, after transferring the pick, as proof.
Repeated failure to transfer your picks may result in other penalties as the CC sees fit. Attempts to abuse this rule (i.e. trading a pick back at the last minute and saying you never received it) may result in the loss of your team.

WALK-THRU
|
Log-in to the utility: http://www.hfl-football.net/fof_draft/index.php. Your username is your team's abbreviation, and the password was chosen upon registration with the utility.
Once into the utility, select players on the Players tab and add them to the Priority tab by clicking the Set selections button at the bottom.
Trading During the Draft If you have made a trade during the draft, involving a pick from this year's draft, the first thing you should do is go to the draft utility and send the pick(s) you have traded on the Selections tab. Make sure you have an approved trade (agreed to by both parties in the Pending/Completed Trade section of the Forum with notifications sent to the commish) before giving your pick away!
You will need to complete this step or the new owner of the picks will not be able to select via the draft utility. If you are receiving picks in a trade, be sure to remind the other owner to send your new picks. This feature allows owners to trade their picks freely and continue drafting, without having to wait for the commish to come online and input the transaction.
You will still need to post on the Forum, so they are properly processed within the game.

IMPORTANT NOTES
|
- ONLY use the utility's functions when it's time! If you accidentally give your pick to someone, you will have to wait until the commish is online to make the fix in the utility database. Again, make sure you have an approved trade (agreed to by both parties in the trade forum with notifications sent to the commish) before giving your pick away!
- Double-check your pick before hitting the button! Unless there is a proven bug that causes an incorrect selection, your selection will be upheld. If you accidentally choose a punter as your second round pick, that's your pick!
- If you believe you've discovered a bug, send the commish a PM with descriptions of the problem. Be prepared to provide screenshots.
